If you passed by the new Samuel de Champlain bridge last night, then you may have noticed the bridge being illuminated with multicolored lights! Those lights are currently being placed and tested under the edges of the bridge’s roadbed. According to TVA Nouvelles, colours and patterns will vary depending on what “theme” is chosen for the occasion.

The $4.2 billion bridge is set to open on June 3rd in one direction (heading to Montreal from the South Shore). If all goes well, the lanes going south towards Brossard should open two weeks later, on June 17th.
