François Legault just announced businesses will start reopening as of May 4th for the province of Quebec, and May 11th for Montreal. The gradual reopening concerns three major sectors for now: stores that are not inside a shopping mall, manufacturing companies, and construction/civil engineering companies.
Retail stores and business that are located outside Montreal will be able to reopen their doors as of May 4th (by next Monday). Meaning malls will remain closed for the time being. Construction businesses will be able to reopen as of May 11th with some restrictions that will be lifted May 25th.
Just like it was announced yesterday for schools, all businesses that will reopen in May will need to continue respecting social distancing guidelines put in place by the government.
Do you think now is a good time to start reopening businesses?
