The SAQ just announced they are teaming up with Purolator to deliver your orders straight to your door. As we all know, the SAQ just like the SQDC are still open and considered essential services during the COVID-19 pandemic currently affecting all businesses throughout the province.
According to the SAQ’s official website, delivery times once you place your order are approximately 10 business days. Although delays may seem long, don’t forget this will allow many customers to remain in the comfort of their homes and practice safe social distancing while waiting for their orders.
There will be a delivery fee of $12 per order, but the amount will be entirely donated to Food Banks of Quebec to deal with the current situation. If you are worried your packaged may be contaminated, the SAQ has assured their employees respect the new sanitary standards when receiving, preparing and assembling your orders. Same goes for Purolator employees that follow the hygiene and protection measures recommended by Health Canada.
To confirm you are indeed at least 18 years old, the delivery person will ask for your ID but she or he will make sure to abide by the two-meter distance rule and will no longer ask for your signature.
