Quebec's Superior Court ruled just yesterday the provincial law prohibiting Quebecers from growing cannabis at home for personal use, judging the ban was unconstitutional. So what exactly are you allowed growing from home? For now, people are allowed (for personal use only), to grow up to a maximum of four plants at home. However, according to Global News, the lawyer who argued the case on behalf of a man seeking to strike down the sections cautioned against a rush to plan cannabis.
"The province’s lawyers could appeal and ask that the contested provisions remain in force for the duration of the appeal." This means event if the previous law was just invalidated, you should still wait to see how Quebec's government will react to this decision.
